Cathryn Shiels Lawyers provides legal services statewide to clients across the Goulburn Valley region, Loddon Mallee and Goldfields region, Ovens Murray region, Grampians and Central Highlands region and Barwon South West region. Clients are drawn from diverse areas across the state including Shepparton, Echuca, Rochester, Wangaratta, Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong.

Cathryn can appear for you in your court hearing either by video link or in person where required.

Cathryn Shiels has been practising law for over 12 years. She attended primary and secondary school in regional Victoria.

She worked and travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. Upon her return to regional Victoria she completed a Bachelor of Arts Humanities (Honours) in Literature. Her thesis focused on psychoanalysis, child development and the subconscious mind in modernist literature. Theories of attachment and child development greatly inform her work in the legal sector and she draws on that knowledge when working with clients, especially in relation to parenting matters.

Cathryn worked in Melbourne and began her legal studies while raising a family.

She established her own legal firm in 2015.
